The late Abdul Matin Chowdhury
He was born in an aristocratic family of Bhadeswar Purbabhag village in Golap upazila. In 1926, he was nominated as a member of the Indian Council of Management (MP) as the Muslim representative of Assam. M, L, A Assam (1938-48) Minister of Public Works (February-August) 1938, (1942-1945) -Finance Minister. He was also the Vice President of the Central Management Council of India for some time. He was elected MLA in 1948 from Darang, Assam.
